Hey all my Perfectly Planned,
Today I want to share with you 5 tips to maximize your time as a busy bride planning her wedding while working, balancing school, your romantic abode, managing a home and still having time for self.
If you do not have yourself a wedding planner binder you better at least get out a scratch piece of paper and make yourself a To Do list for all those wedding task you need to complete. There is no bigger time waster than pondering the internet for hours on end just to figure out what to do next. A To Do List will be your life saver!
Tip # 2 Plan While you Work
Now I am sure your company probably has a no personal affairs policy when it comes to using the web but research shows that most brides plan their wedding while at work so whether your employer likes it or not I know your doing it anyway. Get the most out of those rule breaking minutes by tailoring your Google search for those things you are specifically looking for such as ” Chattanooga Wedding Venues” Read reviews on websites like www.weddingwire.com or www.theknot.com to see what others have to say about vendors your considering. Using your break time to do your research will give you more time to spend with your fiancé during the time your at home.
This may sound strange but in order to maximize your most precious time which is typically your off days try to plan appointments on days where you are already going to be out and dressed presentably anyway, which is usually on days you work. The truth of the matter is the last thing you want to do is spend your weekends filled with back to back appointments meeting with wedding professionals when we all know you would much rather be out on the lake with your fiance, shopping with your BFF or spending a Saturday morning at the spa!
Tip #4 Spread the Word
Are you really short on time to plan your wedding? The more people you tell about your wedding the more people that can share news with you about wedding vendors they worked with and loved. Also sharing the news via social media about things your searching for to incorporate into the wedding the better. Friends and family will let you know when they have spotted a great sale in the bridal department of your local department store of when your local crafts store is running a sale so you can score décor items in bulk!
Tip # 5 Don’t Take Things to Seriously
We all know when you get in a mood where everything is so important that your entire attitude just sucks! Try to stay positive and upbeat about things. When a vendor quotes you something that you think is absolutely ridiculous, don’t blow up about it just say “oh well that’s not the vendor for me and move on “. When a bridesmaid calls and tells you they don’t have the money for their dress , don’t stress over it, just say “ok ” and move on. I have coordinated many wedding with uneven numbers and the pictures still turn out beautifully. There is nothing that can happen that should take up so much of your time with your stressing and bickering with someone. It will all be ok.
