Chattanooga Wedding Planning Tip 100 : One Set of Chairs or Two
Hi CTC Lovies,
I can’t tell you how many times I have had the conversation with brides over how many sets of chairs will be needed for the wedding day. Many times it seems like a no brainer but I promise you it’s not there are some serious logistics that need to be considered before making the big decision. So I am going to tell you right now the answer is always TWO and here is why :
- Guest Experience , need I say more. Your wedding day is one of the biggest events you will ever plan in your lifetime . You will have friends and family near and dear to you to come celebrate this special day and although you and your love are the honoree’s , you and your families are also the host and it is your responsibility to show the upmost care, concern, and hospitality while your wedding guests are in your presence. It would be down right rude to have your officiant to announce to your guests after the ceremony to pick up a chair on their way out and bring it over to the reception area ! Did we just forget that your dress code is formal to black tie ? Ladies and gents shouldn’t be trying to balance their cocktail and the chiavari while finding their way to their table . Oh wait , you weren’t actually thinking the guests would move the chairs , you were just going to ask your bridal party to handle it during the happy hour, afterall that’s what they are their for , they haven’t pitched in to help otherwise anyway, right???? Wrong! If you want to find the quickest way for your girl pals and best buds to talk about you behind closed doors then go right ahead, otherwise rent the second set of chairs so that you honor your guests by creating a seamless and well executed wedding plans rather than giving notice to your entire reception that the cash flow wasn’t quite flowing !
I hope you found wedding tip 100 to be just the transparent moment you needed !
