Hey all my Perfectly Planned,
The good old saying April showers bring May flowers, well May had a lot of flowers based on the rain we received on Adam and Cassie’s April 19, 2015 spring wedding day out at Tennessee River Place.
Lets face it we all know that any bride that is planning an outside wedding does not want to hear the word ” rain ” on her wedding day but the truth of the matter is , that when you are planning an outdoor wedding, its nature’s playground and you have to just go with it. We had a rainy day plan drafted up in advance to be prepared for inclement weather and I equipped Cassie to embrace the rain so her and her girls went shopping for rain boots and umbrellas and were prepared for whatever the day would have in store, but little did we know the rain would be the least of our worries. On wedding day we had a tree go down on the main road to access the venue which also caused a transformer to catch fire! Talk about a day ! If you know anything about Tennessee River Place you know it is pretty much one way in and one way out and the way in had our caterer, florist , photographer, baker, and videographer all stuck without a way into the venue. We were able to get the caterer through a gated field in a four wheel drive vehicle and with many phone calls to EPB and the fire department we were able to get the road back open, and all the vendors onsite. Emily Porsche and I worked double time to gain back the hour we had lost . Our team was in full force to pull off the extensive decor setup and got our bridal party down the aisle on time ! The rain held off long enough for a beautiful ceremony, then came pouring down during the reception ( we held the reception indoors) then once again it stopped and we got as double rainbow. It was a whirlwind of a wedding day , full of smiles , laughs , stomach butterflies, momentum, and ambition and at the end of the day we had another Perfectly Planned couple.
