Hey all my Perfectly Planned,
Today I want to give three line items to highly review in wedding contracts with vendors because you probably will not even think about it until it is too late.
1. Check to make sure your date, start time and location is listed correctly. This is especially important if you choose a less popular day of the week to have a wedding. As most weddings happen on Saturday be sure most vendors have noted if your wedding is a day like Friday or Sunday etc. There would be nothing worse than wondering where your cake is on your wedding day than to learn they had the wrong day set for delivery….. and trust me it happens!
2. Check how many hours of service is included. You can not just hire a wedding photographer and assume your good to go. You need to know how many hours of service are included this will tell you at what time wedding pictures need to start and what time they will end. Can you imagine not getting your farewell send off captured because you only hired your photographer for six hours and she leaves at six hours, but if you can plan ahead you can arrange for her to arrive later to capture more of the events happening during the wedding reception. It is all about planning.
3. Check for taxes and fees. At your initial wedding consultation with a vendor you will get a quote, you pay your deposit and the rest is not due until a few weeks prior to the wedding when you prepare to make your final payment you notice the final amount due is higher than you anticipated. This probably happened because you didn’t pay attention to the tax and additional fees that some vendors add on. Always look for these things and never be afraid to ask for clarification on a particular fee that just appears to be an add on. You should know and understand what you are paying for concerning everything on your wedding.
