It is customary to get your wedding party a gift or two. Depending on what your plans are, a couple little things or one big gift may be appropriate. When selecting gifts, keep in mind how you want to remember your wedding day.

Collective Gifts
Getting all of your bridesmaids the same gift can unify the group. Just take care to ensure your choice works for each person receiving the gift (e.g. that no one is allergic to their gift, that it is their size, etc.). A few ideas…
- Matching pajamas/robes
- Matching jewelry/accessories
- Perfume
- Mani-pedi day
Individualized Gifts
Choosing gifts that are special to each bridesmaid gives you the opportunity to communicate how special their friendship and support is to you. Typically, if you’re choosing to do individualized gifts, using your budget for one solid gift a person may be the most beneficial. When selecting a gift for your bridesmaid, think about what their friendship/support means to you, reflect on your memories together, and think about their interests. A few thoughtful gift ideas…
- Custom engraved jewelry
- A novel that reminds you of their friendship with a note to them inside
- Something you know they want but would never buy for themselves
- Espresso machine
- Cute throw pillows
- Sous Vide
- Something symbolic to the journey they’re on
- Compass
- Something used in their future profession (stethoscope, power tool, notebook, etc.).
Compensation
If you’re already overwhelmed with managing your life and a wedding, spending time on gifts may feel like too much. A great option when you still have the budget and would like to do something for your bridesmaids but don’t have the time or energy is to provide financial compensation for wedding-related expenses. The bachelorette party, travel, dresses, etc. can be difficult for some of your bridesmaids, and their stress may dampen the wedding vibes. Keep your bridesmaids’ financial situations in mind when wedding planning and, if you have the budget to contribute to their expenses, help support them so they can support you on your big day!
